Hi! I’m Crackers. I’m a 10 week old border collie chow mix. I LOVE to wrestle and play with the dog at my fosters home. I sleep I’m my crate through the night and when my foster mom leaves the house. I’m working on potty training, I either go outside or on my puppy pad. If you are an active person looking for a dog that will have no problem keeping up, I’m the perfect dog for you.
Diamond is a 5 year old female Hound mix. She has had a rough start to life. At some point her left femur was broken, she has hip displaysia on her right side due to readjusting herself to walk with a broken leg. She had also given birth to a litter of pups in the past year and was found as a stray in the middle of a road with her babies. She is very shy at first but warms up quickly with whomever she spends the most time with. She loves to snuggle and hold hands, also loves belly rubs. She would do better in a home as the only dog as she is still learning how to share properly due to her time having to survive on her own. She is housebroken and loves to take walks. She will need daily pain meds and monthly heart worm meds to keep her healthy. If you have an open heart and the time she will make a great companion for someone.

My name is Laverne. I was born around 9/15/17. My foster mom says I’m AMAZING! I’m obviously adorable, I’m smart, playful, loving, and a really good girl. I go into my crate to sleep quietly at night, and always go to the bathroom outside when given the chance. I’m great with kids, the other dogs in my house, but haven’t met cats. Apply now to make me part of your family.
Lena (Lay-na) is a 16 month old Shepard mix looking for her forever family. She is house broken and crate trained, sleeping quietly overnight. She requires a family with patience, as she shows hesitation around loud noises, etc. She is nervous around men, although not aggressive, she barks at her foster Dad when he enters the room. She does however let him pet her and give her love. She is playful, and a home with another playful dog would suit her wonderfully. She loves her 3 foster dog siblings. (We don’t know about cats). She is an incredibly sweet girl, and deserves the best life has to offer. If interested apply now ❤️🐾

He also does great with the little humans in his house!

Hi there! My name is Taffy but my foster mom calls me “wiggles” or “Miss McGee” I am all around a wonderful dog. I play extremely well with my sister Toffee and my foster brother Fred. I also have four cat foster siblings that’s I don’t even bother ! I’m part boxer and part sweetheart. I did have a rough start to life, my foster parents can tell because if they move too quickly or raise their voice a little higher then normal I start to panic. But my foster mommy’s hugs always makes me feel better. I love love love giving kisses and cuddling. I walk okay on a leash and my foster rents are teaching me the whole going outside to pee thing. I’m such a gentle little girl looking for my forever home here in buffalo. I do alright off the leash, I don’t stray too far from my foster mom. I share toys and I take treats nicely. I even go in the kennel and don’t make a peep. I’m about one years old and I weight 43 pounds. I don’t know if I’ll get much bigger, but either way I’m okay with it. I know my forever family is out there, looking for me like I’m looking for them. Would you be willing to give me a chance? You will not be disappointed.
Meet Lilly who we call Pinky Lee because of her gorgeous pink skin tones. Lily is a white bird dog about 1 year old and a lean 47 lbs. She was saved at the last minute from a shelter in Georgia and we are very glad she made the trip.
We do not know much about Lilly’s past, she may have had an owner that did not treat her very well as she is a little afraid of loud noises. However, she is slowly learning to trust her foster family and feel safe and loved. She just needs a little time and patience to realize that not all people are bad. Once this shy girl shows you her fun side, you will fall in love. She is a fast learner and knows sit and is working on other commands. She will learn quickly since she loves food and treats of any kind She also loves her ears and belly rubbed and to be with her humans. She plays well with her 2 foster sisters and tires herself out. She is not sure what to make of the snow, but is getting used to going outside in the cold. She walks very nicely on a leash.
I do not think that she ever experienced a full belly, a soft bed, or a toy before she came to NY and is has been a pleasure to see her leave food in her dish and play tug of war. She is very affectionate and loves attention. She would love a home and a family to all her own. If you are interested in making her a part of your family, please apply!
Hello my name is Ebony. I am a very loving lab mix. I am two years old. I am a very active dog. I am really good with other dogs. I am great at meeting new people and new dogs. I walk well on a leash. I always want to be around my foster, whether that be when she is just walking around or laying on her lap. I know sit, lay and come. I am potty trained and crate trained.
Hi. I am Zena and I am from Texas. I am a 2 year old pit bull mix. I love to play and get belly rubs. I have had no accidents in the house. I walk well on a leash and harness. I sit and give paw. I sleep in my cage at night, however I would rather be by my human. I am protective over my foster mom and dad. I don’t want the other dogs near them, I don’t want to share the love and affection, can you blame me, never had it. It takes me time to warm up to the other dogs, but once I do, I play with them. If you are looking for a pup who loves and protects, I am your girl. Remember I am Zena, Princess Warrior.
Hi everyone, I’m George!! I’m a very handsome hound/lab and shepard mix that’s 4 years young. I’m a great guy who loves long walks and likes to cuddle on the couch. I know some simple commands, sit , speak, stay and lay down. Though I like to talk whenever food is around. I’m also 99% potty trained. I do knock on my foster moms door to go outside or I like to wake her up with a bark to let her know I have to go out. I’m very laid back and mellow. I enjoy running in the yard chasing a tennis ball , and I like playing with toys. I’m great with kids of all ages as I’m very gentle for my size. I like to play with other dogs and don’t mind being around cats either! So if you would love all 52 pounds of me and want to meet me , let your volunteer know or get your apps in our awesome website.
Hi friends, I’m Coco! I’m a neutered 2.5-year-old male Terrier Mix from Georgia weighing in at 52 pounds (with a little more weight to be gained)! I’m told I’ve been doing excellent as I settle in in Buffalo – I potty on command outside and fall asleep in my crate, too. I’ve been really excited to explore what’s left of this white stuff outside and I walk well on my leash – sniffing things out is my favorite part! I know how to sit and I listen to my “no” command without trouble – my foster mom says that’s a big bonus! Yay me! I have a small doggy foster brother who I get along with great and I have a history of being good with cats and kiddos, too. I eat and play with my doggy friends without any trouble; I guess there really isn’t anything that gets me worked up. I take a minute to get warmed up and give you my trust, but once I do, I’m a big lover! My foster parents just can’t get enough of my calm and cool temperament – they say I’m an absolute joy to have around and the hugs I love to give make me extra special. I made the journey all the way up to Buffalo because it just felt like this was the place I was going to call home! If you’d like to help me make that happen, please apply to adopt me at buddysrescue.org!

Hola everyone! My name is Bentley! I’m a Puerto Rican pooch looking for my forever home here in the US. I’ve been through a lot, I grew up on the streets, and people were not kind to me. I was injured pretty badly and I could barely walk. A really nice lady found me and said I was going to be alright, she was going to send me to a place near Buffalo NY! That’s where I met my foster family and we’ve been working really hard everyday, so I can run and play like all of my foster siblings! Even though I’m not the perfect dog, I promise I’m just as fun and loving as any other dog and maybe I’d be the perfect dog for you! -Bentley 🐾
Bentley has certainly put in the work, this 2 year old Beagle mix is ready for adoption! I was impressed by his resilience and strength from the moment I first saw him. He was dirty, emaciated, clearly injured and scared. When we at Open Arms found out that Bentley just needed to continue physical therapy, we knew we were the ones that could do it! Like all dogs, Bentley’s ability to trust and love knows no boundaries. He is house-trained, and UTD. He loves to play fetch and run outside but most of all he just wants to be with his human. Bentley has not mastered climbing stairs yet so we do carry him inside. Please visit www.oarwny.org to submit an adoption application or email firstname.lastname@example.org with inquiries about Bentley.
